On July 23 and 24, 2022, the 30th Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Health Education and Promotion will be held at Dokkyo Medical University.JC-GSHR has planned a round table, and it has been successfully adopted.

How to Secure Human Resources and Community Collaboration for Comprehensive Health Education Practice for School-Age Children

～Based on lessons learned from JOCV activities

The purpose of this roundtable is to discuss how to secure human resources and collaborate with local communities to implement comprehensive health education for schoolchildren in and out of school, based on lessons learned from the practice of health education in low- and middle-income countries. The first presentation will be on the purpose of the project, followed by presentations by two presenters who have practical experience in health education as Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), on lessons learned from their activities from the perspective of securing human resources and collaboration with local communities. Then, facilitated by the presenters, the round table participants will discuss the issues to be discussed with the designated commentator, who is an international school health specialist.
