School Health Symposium at APACPH in Manila on Sep, 2022

As A part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Eduport Project (Strategic Overseas Development of Japanese Education), a symposium on the promotion of school health in the Pacific Islands was held with the World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Regional Office, the Japanese Consortium for Global School Health Research (JC-GSHR) and other cooperated academic institutions in many counties in Asia and Pacific at the 53rd Asia Pacific Consortium for Public Health (APACPH) meeting was held by College of Public Health, University of the Philippines on September 24, 2022 in Manila, Philippines.
The symposium venue in Manila, Philippines was filled to capacity, and many participants from Pacific island countries attended online. This project is an extension of the knowledge and networking gained from the Research Project for the Realization of a Post-Corona Society, which was initiated by the University of the Ryukyus in 2020.
In the future, reflecting the discussions at the symposium, policy recommendations and human resource development for the dissemination of school health care in island countries will be developed.
