The 32nd Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Health Education and Promotion was held at the University of Nagano on July 6-7, 2024.
The Japanese Consortium for Global School Health Research held a global health workshop led by Associate Professor Sachi Tomokawa (Shinshu University).

To those who are about to start field research

In these presentations on field research, four speakers described their experiences, necessary preparations, and activities in various overseas fields.
As a designated commentary, Chairman Jun Kobayashi (University of the Ryukyus) delivered a video message to those who are about to embark on field research.
After each case presentation, participants were invited to ask questions about overseas fieldwork, and had the opportunity to ask and answer questions about (1) benefits to partners through international collaborative research, (2) ethical applications overseas, (3) language issues and innovations, and (4) how to find partners overseas.
It was a valuable opportunity to interact with those who are considering doing fieldwork abroad in the future.
